Luis E. Santiago is a native Puerto Rican who holds a MFA in Stage Management from Columbia University in the City of New York. Luis has stage managed around fifty productions including: Off B'way: Heart of Soul (Broadway Workshop), Wild With Happy (Public Theater), The Landing (Vineyard Theater Composed by John Kander), The Plot Is The Revolution with Judith Malina (La Mama EST). Regional: The Unfortunates, (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Tosca, Opera NJ, (McCarter Theater). NYC: Los Titingós de Juan Bobo (Teatro Círculo), NYC Fringe Festival, L’Amfiparnaso (The Western Wind), Under the Big Tarp & Peter PANtomime (Kaye Playhouse), TALA (Kyoung Pacific Beat), Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo ’n Juliet (Classic Theatre of Harlem) Under the Radar Festival (Public Theater), Ballet Hispánico ASUKA (Apollo Theatre), Lorca in New York (La Nacional), Simpson Street (47th St. Theatre) and La Discreta Enamorada (Repertorio Español). Luis is currently working as a PSM for the Broadway Bound Workshop of Heart of Soul, The Stax Musical, Directed by Patricia McGregor and Produced by Stuart Benjamin and Tasha Taylor along with Booker T. Jones and Concord Music Group, Inc.
Luis has also worked as a dresser, props designer, stage crew and house manager for different venues. Also he has had the opportunity to work with Theatre Artists as John Kander, David Hyde Pierce, Colman Domingo, Julia Murney, Robert O’Hara, Judith Malina, Walter Bobby, Stephanie Sundine, Kara Shay Thompson, Rafael Davila, Bill Rauch, Miriam Colón-Valle, Oskar Eustis, Anne Bogart, Patricia McGregor, Stuart Benjamin among others. Luis has been under the guidance of Broadway and Regional Theatre Production Stage Managers as Roy Harris, Cheryl Mintz and Heath Balden. Also holds a BA in Drama and Languages (French and Italian) from the University of Puerto Rico. Luis is currently a Guest Stage Management Professor for University of Memphis. He is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association since 2012.
